Stanislav Vitort

Stanislav Vitort, Russian tenor born in 1975 in Moscow, is just beginning his international career.

It was in College where Vitort started his first vocal practice, and decided to dedicate himself completely to classical music and singing. In order to reach his aim he entered Moscow State Conservatory. From 1997 to 2003 he studied singing under the supervision of the outstanding Russian tenor, former soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, Vladislav Piavko.

Still a student of the conservatory, he played and sang in various drama and musical performances in Moscow theatres, for example “Maria Callas, Master Class”, by Terrence MacNelly. Soon after the graduation from the Conservatory he started acting in “Novaya Opera” theatre, but at the same time he continued studying to further develop his voice.

In 2005 he moved to Canada, Toronto attending master classes with the Canadian tenor Ermanno Mauro. Vitort participated in various concerts and music festivals. Here he also recorded his debut CD: “From Broadway to Operahouse”.

In 2008 Vitort became a finalist at the “International Competition of Tenors in the memory of Luciano Pavarotti” in St. Petersburg.

In that same year he performed the role of Verdi’s Otello in Sullmona Italy and the role of Mozart in Rimsky Korsakov’s “Mozart and Salieri” at the Montpellier Festival (France), with the Orchestre National de Montpellier under the baton of Lawrence Foster.
